Rick and Marilyn Boyer are true pioneers of the home education movement. They began teaching the eldest of their fourteen children at home in 1980 and after 37 years of homeschooling, have graduated all of them. Along the way, they wrote over twenty books for parents and kids, in addition to creating Character Concepts—a bible-based character curriculum for young people of preschool through high school age.

CharacterConcepts.com grew out of the day-to-day life of Rick and Marilyn Boyer. As they looked for a way to address the character needs they observed in their own children, they sought to find a way to make character practical to them at their level of understanding. So they designed a Bible-based curriculum that is fun and easy to use. As their kids got older, they began to combine their ideas into an age-appropriate curriculum so that other parents could have the benefit of their experience.
