Beyond the Textbooks

Uncle Rick's Storytime

Children love stories, and that’s why they love Uncle Rick! Kids sit spellbound and history comes alive when Uncle Rick (in period costume) paints his wonderful word pictures. Bring your kids and hear the greatest adventures of American history–the marvelous, exciting true stories that have inspired children for generations and still thrill young hearts today.

What's a Dad to Do?

There are plenty of misconceptions about the role of the father in a homeschooling family. Some people think that if he can’t be at home during “school time” he can’t be involved. Others think his job is to take over some of Mom’s chores to free her up. But Scripture gives seven functions of a father in a godly home, and each of these can be applied very practically and powerfully in home education. Enjoy the wisdom and humor of this presentation as Rick answers the question of “What’s A Dad to Do?”

The Killer “B” Whose Sting Poisons Relationships

It’s quiet, but deadly. It can poison a whole family when no one even knows it’s there. It dampens affection, kills communication and leaves hearts wounded and hurting. It is the number one reason why marriages break up and why parents lose the hearts of their children. The Bible describes it as a “root” that springs up and defiles many. In this talk, Rick Boyer explains how the poison of bitterness damages relationships and how the grace of God can put them back together again. Peace and love in your home are not just a dream.
